Trying out a free digital painting program called Mypaint and tried out observational sketching at the same time. This is a quick live portrait of my girlfriend, I'm not too happy with the result but I was more concerned with testing out the program. I found that its best mostly for sketching out stuff as the pencil tool is wonderful and acts like the real thing, plus the whloe screen is just a canvus. A great program to play around with if you've got the time.
